Music Video Analysis

I chose "Old Pine" by Ben Howard.  The entire video seems to be a nostalgic/happy look back at his past. He just walks down a dirt road facing the camera lip syncing the words as if he were telling the story/stories of him growing up or his fondness of the area.  All the shots had some sort of filter that gave a feeling of memories.  It was like a sepia toned video memoir.

  1. This is a good start but you can provide more depth on how the video is structured. The singer starts in nature and doesn't step on the road until just before the lyrics begin. The flashbacks focus heavily on the beauty of nature. The visuals match the lyrics in many places such as shots of the campfire when he sings about fire and the way he stops walking down the road and the camera keeps moving when he says we stood still. These moments are not accidental. They are designed. I'm asking you to watch closely and notice them.
